Richard Paul Carter

The son of a home-maker and union iron worker, Richard was born in Nashville, Tennessee. He spent 6 years of active duty in the US Navy while enlisted in the Nuclear Power Program and stationed onboard a nuclear submarine. After his honorable discharge, Richard graduated Cum Laude and with University Honors from Tennessee State University with a B.S.in Electrical Engineering. Richard lived in Indianapolis, Indiana for 13 years while employed by Thomson Consumer Electronics. With Thomson, Richard held various positions in two different manufacturing locations as well as in their research and design corporate headquarters.
In 2003, Richard moved to Simi Valley to take the Quality Director position at Technicolor's motion picture film laboratory in North Hollywood, CA.
Richard received his MBA from Pepperdine University in 2007 and has recently started his own Management Consulting Business (BizJumper, LLC).

Richard is married to Deana, a flight-attendant for United Airlines and they have two children: Katlynn (15) and Colton (4).

Richard is currently participating in the Ventura County Leadership Academy (VCLA) sponsored by the United Way of Ventura County.

Richard's life and leadership is based on Christian values with a priority placed on Honesty, Personal Integrity and a desire to Serve the community with Passion and Purpose.
